Welcome to the JMS Academic Team website.  All students who would like to participate can apply for a chance to be one of the eight students who will represent JMS in the PAGE Academic Bowl Regional and State competitions. Even if you don’t make the final team this year, there are many other opportunities for competition and practice.  Other competitions include the Georgia Academic Team Association competition in spring, the Knowledge Master Open (Winter and Spring), and informal weekly practice rounds at JMS to build confidence, knowledge, and speed.

The PAGE Academic Bowl began in 1983.  More than 2,200 students across Georgia compete in this quiz competition.  It is a team competition during which students answer questions based on the Georgia Middle School curriculum: English/Literature, Math, Science, Social Studies/History (including Georgia), Geography, Current Events, Art/Music, Physical Education/Health, and Computer Science.
