This week we are reviewing pronoun/antecedent agreement, indefinite pronouns, and reflexive/intensive pronouns.  We are also comparing the characteristics of genres, and we are focusing on mystery/suspense right now.  We are reading several mysteries and looking at how the author builds suspense and foreshadows future action.   There is no vocabulary or DGP quiz this week.  The final exam will be administered on Thursday.  Have a great week!

We will begin reading the novel Behind the Bedroom Wall this week to go along with our unit on World War II.  We will also spend time this week reviewing and studying for exams which will be Thurs. and Fri.

Students were given a list of all missing assignments last week and need to make sure those are all turned on this week or they will become zeros.

Hello and welcome to the 8th grade. We are all so excited about this school year and look forward to a fantastic year of learning and fun. We believe that all students have a right to learn and are capable of learning. Our ultimate goal is to prepare students for the rigor of high school. To do so, we strive to maintain an environment that places the student in charge of his or her own learning. We strongly believe that students should be responsible for their own learning.

Communication is key to a successful learning environment. If you ever need to discuss any situation with us, please feel free to call at 367-2882. We want to make this experience the best it can be in preparation for a new transition in life.
